Movie Poster

Language

With the Backrooms Movie we can see its outlook of unseen liminality by not revealing too much. The yellow wallpaper and ceiling light shows how this place gives of a weird uncanny feeling. Then with the main character staring up looking almost worried shows that this place has secrets we are not allowed to know of

Industries

The company A24 Reached their highest box office grossing reaching 394 million Dollars worldwide with the presumed budget only being round 10 million dollars

Audience

The presumed audience of this movie would be teenagers and young adults attracting people who already found the initial release of the original backrooms on YouTube as quite an interesting series drifting towards this unknown world filled with uncanny resemblance of the original world but in an awfully unsettling way.

Representation

Its shown as a place that tries to mimic the original world in a faulty way creating infinite loops of places that a normal person would say "hey That looks familiar" but in no way have they ever seen it as its just a messed up version of the real thing. This shows that the backrooms is a faulty copy of the world hidden away and only accessible from specific points in places hence the name Backrooms
